Wiki Dredges -up Success from Failure

I had a really terrible week last week.I won't go into detail, but suffice it to say, it was a real humdinger! Anyway, I've decided to put all of that behind me , trudge up the hill of self pity and doubt and go about my business of being a highly successful lifelong learner.

Create a blog post about your findings. What did you find interesting ? What types of applications within libraries might work well with a wiki?

I looked at the Library Success: a Best Practices Wiki. From there I selected 3.3 Management and Leadership and checked out Team Building. Then I clicked on Category- Management and Leadership again, chose Learning from Failure under "F" for Failure. The Palinet Leadership NetworkWaltcrawford12:41 28 march 2008 EDT, has several articles on Learning from Failure.

I think wikifying the OPAC is a great way to get patrons involved in their own community reader's advisory. I know when I finish a book I really enjoyed I feel the need to share. Giving patron's the ability to write book commentaries would be a great application of the wiki within libraries.
